Indoor Air Quality Services in the Tulsa Metro

Whole-Home Air Treatment Sized for Oklahoma’s Climate, Not a Hardware Store Solution.

Oklahoma’s climate creates indoor air quality challenges that most of the country does not deal with to the same degree. Creek County and the wider Tulsa Metro sit at the eastern edge of the state’s highest seasonal pollen zones, with eastern red cedar producing pollen as early as January and native grass pollen extending through June. Summer humidity in the Metro regularly pushes indoor relative humidity above 60% in homes without active dehumidification, creating conditions that encourage mold growth in attics, crawl spaces, and on HVAC coil surfaces. Winter forced-air heating drops indoor humidity below 25%, causing respiratory discomfort and damage to wood floors and trim. Patton Air installs whole-home air purification systems, UV germicidal lights, General Aire steam humidifiers, whole-home dehumidifiers, and high-efficiency media filters that treat the air for the entire house on every pass through the HVAC system. For an accurate picture of what your specific home needs, start with our free HVAC survey, which includes an indoor air quality assessment at no charge.

IAQ Solutions We Install

Whole-Home Air Purification Systems

Whole-home purifiers integrate directly with your existing HVAC equipment and treat every cubic foot of conditioned air as it circulates through the system. Unlike portable room units, they cover the entire conditioned space simultaneously. We size the system to your HVAC equipment’s actual airflow, not a generic recommendation. Most Tulsa Metro homes can be fitted with a compatible system regardless of the brand or age of their existing equipment.

High-Efficiency Media Filters

Standard 1-inch HVAC filters are rated MERV 4 to 6 and capture only 20 to 30% of fine airborne particles. For Creek County homeowners dealing with high seasonal pollen loads, upgrading to a MERV 11 to 13 media filter significantly reduces allergen recirculation without restricting airflow. We verify compatibility with your specific system before recommending a filter upgrade.

UV-C Germicidal Lights

UV-C lights installed inside the HVAC air handler neutralise viruses, bacteria, and mold spores before they circulate through the home. They are particularly effective in homes where summer humidity has created biological growth on coil surfaces or inside ductwork. UV systems require minimal maintenance, typically just an annual bulb replacement, and are compatible with virtually all HVAC equipment.

General Aire Steam Humidifiers

Our General Aire steam humidifiers connect directly to the furnace and maintain 40 to 50% relative humidity automatically throughout the winter heating season. They protect hardwood floors, reduce static electricity, and make forced-air heat feel significantly warmer at lower thermostat settings, reducing PSO and ONG consumption.

Whole-Home Dehumidifiers

For Tulsa Metro homes where summer humidity consistently exceeds 60% indoors, a whole-home dehumidifier controls moisture across the entire conditioned space without the noise and limited coverage of portable units. This is especially important for homes in river valley communities like Sand Springs and for older homes with limited vapour barriers in the crawl space.

Duct Cleaning and Sanitisation

Ductwork in older Tulsa Metro homes often contains accumulated dust, insulation fibres, and biological growth that recirculates through the living space every time the system runs. Our duct cleaning service removes this buildup, improves airflow, and includes a sanitising treatment to inhibit future biological growth. A clean duct system also improves the efficiency of your HVAC system and extends equipment life.

We would highly recommend Patton Air to anyone.
We had them install a new heat pump and furnace unit. DJ and Kalen gave us good suggestions, and worked hard to make sure everything was done right. DJ corrected numerous shortcuts that previous HVAC company took when they installed original unit.
Very fair in pricing, honest with no hard sales pitch, just good advice.
Wish all businesses were like this.

I called at 2:30 as our air was blowing warm air. I explained to the CSR our situation. My mother is 97 and the owner of the home has breathing difficulties. Even though they were busy installing a new unit, they called and were here by 4:30 pm. The technician fixed the immediately. We were so grateful. Thank you for your help. BTW. the cost was very minimal.

FAQs around Indoor Air Quality Services

The three most common issues we find in Tulsa Metro homes are high seasonal allergen loads from Creek County pollen during February to June, summer humidity that exceeds 60% indoors and encourages mold growth, and winter dryness below 25% humidity that causes respiratory discomfort. Standard HVAC filters and no humidity control do not address any of these adequately.

Yes, significantly. Whole-home systems with MERV 11 or higher filtration capture the fine particles responsible for most allergy symptoms, including pollen, pet dander, and mold spores. Unlike portable room units, they treat the entire conditioned area of the home on every air cycle. Results are typically noticeable within the first two to three weeks of operation during peak pollen season.

A steam humidifier generates humidity independently of the furnace by heating water to produce steam. It operates whenever humidity drops below the set level, regardless of whether the furnace is running. A bypass humidifier only adds humidity when the furnace fan is running. For Oklahoma's dry winters, steam humidifiers deliver more consistent and precise humidity control.

In older homes with original ductwork, duct cleaning makes a measurable difference in airflow, filter lifespan, and indoor particle levels. In newer homes with clean ductwork, the benefit is smaller. Our HVAC survey includes a ductwork assessment so we can give you an honest recommendation before you commit to the service.
